The handmade lokta paper is a unique product from Nepal, whose manufacture the Nepali learnt from the Chinese over a thousand years ago. Still today the paper is produced observing the same old traditions.
The handmade paper made from Lokta fibres is strong and durable. Each sheet is unique. The paper’s texture varies according to its thickness. Hundreds of different kinds of papers can be created by using different processes in the production of paper pulp and by varying the thickness and color.
